Trying to decide whether or not to put in satellite radio or an Ipod attachment. Also trying to determine location. Anyone out there have any pics of either? Just trying to get ideas. Thanks.

i say ipod attachment.... you can listen to what u want to listen to instead of some songs they play on the sat radio...its personal prefrence if u ask me

why not both? they sell headunits with both sat and ipod ready. makes it a cleaner install esp since most people place the ipod attachment inside the glovebox

Well I already have a SIRIUS independent reciever, one of the little jobbies. I had it attached to the steering column on the Jetta, but it sometimes got in the way of day to day driving. Our other car is a Dodge Charger (which will turn into the grocery getter. Its 4 doors with an automatic tranny-yuck), and theres a nice little cubby hole where the reciver went in that one. Just trying to get ideas. I'm toying around with it here, but can't seem to narrow it down. |

its the law to have teh safety switch connected to the ebrake. can get in some trouble if installers dont do this

but... i know some who have a switch connected to the safety switch of the ebrake.

i know that how to hook it up to the ebrake switch and still view it so if they happen to look it is connected

Meh.... What we did to go around that law, was put a switch there that allows the driver to turn the e-brake "on." We put the switch there, but the driver is the one that flipped it to watch the video.

all you have to do is put the lead on the negative side of the ebrake instead of the positive and it works

yeah I know a few guys who've done something like that.
Besides that switch idea I just honestly wouldnt risk it cause its my certification and that right there is what makes me the big bucks and I dont wanna lose that seriously
