Ok, are any of y'all bama folks friends with any lawyers or something? I have an outstanding balance ($300) on my truck I sold to a member here and it is time to get nasty.
This could probably hold true for anyone outside bama as well...I am sure a letter from any lawyer might work...I just don't know any here and don't really want to pay their rates for a damn letter as it would eat up most of the $300 I am after. |

hire brent as your representation and have him write a nasty letter full of non direct comments and indirect assumptions to the law.

your best bet is to get a certified letter. give it a deadline. if the deadline passes, file a complaint with your local PD
just went through this with a customer my grandparents had at their store

Sent a couple of those letters already and tried calling...nothing. Like I said, time to get nasty...and if that doesn't work...it is time for a road trip since they only live in Bama. |

talk to the local law and determine your legal actions, you can probably repo the car... but since you gave the title out... you had best check on it. Take them to JUDGE JUDY!

Rob, I would seriously talk to your local pd and the pd from where he/his wife is currently living and the truck resides and see what legal actions you can take. I don't know all the details of the transaction, but if you handed over the title I'm not sure you are entitled to it unless you kept a receipt of the payment(s) you have currently received.
Maybe you can find a lawyer that can give you some free legal advice over a drink or something..I dunno.
