02 Tranny Questions

I have a 02 gt and when I shift from 2nd to 3rd it seems to have trouble getting in is it a tranny problem or just shifter problem its a stock shifter

Tremec T3650 transmission is extremely notchy..

Does it just feel like it 'grabs'? or does it actually grind/fight being put into third?

Is it worse at higher RPMs?

Worse at higher rpm and just won't go in no noise though just like its blocked

Do you notice it with any other gears? Do you have the stock shifter?

my T-56 is very notchy but it always goes into gear. Do you hear any grinding? How many miles are on the car? The clutch? Do you have a good bit of petal slack in the clutch and is the petal rather close to the floor as you start to push it down?

That was going to be my next question.. but I'd assume it'd fight on other gears as well.. try sitting with the car off, in first gear.. put your foot under the clutch pedal and pull up on it, then push it down.. if the clutch is out of adjustment it'll click.. unless its beyond worn..

or it could be an internal transmission problem.. synchros/fork/etc..

I have found that the self adjustment is a POS... you can self adjust it if you know you. Its not hard but you have to get in a very not fun position (under the drivers side dash facing upwards) and hold pressure on the stock quadrent while easing the clutch petal up, it will force it to take up the slack in the petal.

It does this just from 2nd to 3rd and no other gears clutch seem fine
