exhaust ????

I own a 99 v6. I have a shortshifter and a CAI. Ive been thinking about getting dual exhaust, what is the most affordable way?

You can either buy a set of gt-takeoff's (pipes and mufflers from a gt) and have an exhaust shop cut your y-pipe and weld those up (the shop will have to make two pipes about 18 inches long a piece to make the difference) or have an exhaust shop cut your Y-pipe and bend new pipes for your passenger side and use your existing pipes on the driver side.
I'd just go talk to a few exhaust shops and get a quote both ways to see what you want to do.

unless your local shop will do a full stainless exhaust system for 300 bucks (as I had two sets done for WITH flowmaster mufflers) then you can probably pick up a set of GT take offs and have a shop fab them up. The take offs from a 99-04 GT (NOT cobra) should run 100-125 bucks and the fab work shouldnt be to bad.
