My husband has a '66 that is in DESPERATE need of restoration! I mean, BAD shape!
The mechanical stuff we can handle, my husband is a farmer who maintains a whole fleet of tractors, and my son is a gear head (he gets it from my brother). But the body and interior need the most help. I really don't think this is something we can do on our own.
Any suggestions on where to look for reliable help?
I don't know of any personally in the Michigan area. My best advice to you is to find out if you have a local MCA sponsored club. Join the club and I am sure they can steer you in the right direction on who to use for your needs.
This car is the whole reason we started dating in the first place, and my husband sort of sacrificed it for our family and I really want to help him restore it. He's waited so long and he really deserves to have this happen!

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. We are leaning toward paying someone to do the interior and body work, but we have a 17 yo son who thinks that if he gets the work done, we'll let him drive it to prom. Can you imagine?!?! lol
