You can reprogram the remote...but I really don't remember how, I'll do some research, and as far as the key, you have to go somewhere that can program the key, which I believe may only be Ford.

The above works.. except -->> I have NOT been able to do that with any less than 2 pre-programmed keys..

cycle first programmed, remove first, insert second and cycle second.. then remove and insert unprogrammed key, and cycle it..

If we only had one programmed key, we'd had to hook up the computer and run through the 10 minute PATs access...

Can you program a key to work on two vehicles, or will it erase the old information when you reprogram it for the new vehicle.

Also, can't you program a keyless remote to work on two different cars?

It will erase the old vehicles and just program the new one assuming the key would work..

Cost should be between 70.00 to 120.00 depends on the dealer ,I just paid 72.00 for my girl friends key .But I was quoted as high as 160.00
