2004 GT Seats/headrests

We recently bought a 2004 GT convertible. Love the car but I am a little concerned about the seats/headrest. The head rests are very low and can't see where they would help deter whip lash if rear ended, etc Does anyone know if the headrest can be removed and replaced with a higher more affective one? Thanks for any info on this matter................

I have an 04 GT, and mine are like that... I'm not too sure if they can be replaced or such.. maybe if Brad(lowflyn) sees this, he can help.. he knows a bit more about the headrests than I do.

The GT/V6 seats sure don't give alot of support in any way. If you really want to look into more support, safer seats, you could look at the Cobra seats or a good set of Ford Racing seats. If you know of anyone with a newer cobra or Mach1, take a seat in them and see if you like the way they fit better than your GT.
