I've heard 15 but I think there's different types of transmissions you can get with different numbers of gears. But I don't now this for sure, and I could very well be wrong.

Most have 10 speeds, but some have more. Pretty cool stuff there.

Yeh, alot of them have 5 gears, with a high and low setting. You go through the 5 gears in low, pull the lever and go back through the 5 in high. It's actually quite fun trying to remember if you are in high 2 or low 4 or trying to find reverse while shifting from high to low. Yeh...you just gotta be there I guess.
