Ok so lately when I got to stop my brake light comes on. Plus I think my rear end is starting to mess up. It feels like it jumps. Now it could be from me catching seconds every wear I go haha. Its been doing it for awhile but seems to have gotten worse. I was wondering if the brake light coming on when I start to stop has a connection with my rear end.

Yeah, it just about has to be because of low break fluid.
As far as the rear end "jumping", does it do this most when you first start driving the car? If so, it could just be your tires. I imagine you have Z-rated tires. Tires with soft compounds like that have a tendency to "shake" when they are cold. Once they get warmed up after driving a minute, the problem should go away though.

Uh, no.
Solid rear does not suck... what sucks is the half ass engineered piece of shit Ford calls an IRS.

so it 'slams' into coasting/slams when you get back on the gas? is it a clunk or a jerk? and is your car auto or manual trans?

Likewise, "all those cobra guys" dont swap out their IRS for a solid rear for no reason...

You don't quit, do you?
Good, because I don't either.
The IRS in the 99-04 Cobras is well known for its amazing capability to suck.

U-joints would be my next guess.
Also, have you swapped the gears yet? If so, maybe they weren't shimmed absolutely correctly.
I suppose the calipers seizing up could also cause it like Brent mentioned, because from what I've seen the 99+ rear calipers seem to have a history of doing so. Check your rear rotors and look for any signs of unusual wear, mainly any type of groove being cut into the rotor. If this was the case though, you'd probably be experiencing more symptoms than you are (like a horrible grinding/scraping noise).

cause theyre usually strip only cars, or cars that see little street use. at the power level there isnt enough R&D in IRS to handle those stresses, so most go with a solid rear thats been in use for almost half a century.
good, dont quit.
Prove why it sucks. Prove to me why Solid Rear has any advantage in anything other than a fully built drag application. Prove to me why guys with drag radials and a IRS brace are outlaunching most AWD cars and having equal 60ft's as some tubbed and chubbed big blocks. Black 04 cobra at the track with DR's and IRS brace was running 11.4's consistently with a 1.6-1.7 60ft. can you do that with DR's? youd prolly be lucky to get a 1.9 or a 2.0 with solid rear jumping all over the place.
I guess thats just the mentality of those still stuck in their 5.0 world.
