I got this in the mail today. I wonder how legit it is. Could it be "Too Legit To Quit," or something. Maybe they'll still have a GTO on the showroom.

"Up to" means you won't get that unless you buy something.

no, up to meaning they will be giving out gift cards but not a $2500 gift card for each person. So you might get like a $5 gift card and put up with a pushy salesman. Who cares, it's 5 bucks ;P

It's the same marketing scheme as sending out the keys that 'may start a brand new 2007 Tacoma pickup'... You show up, and if your key works, the truck is yours.... problem is, they maybe send out one key to someone they know won't come down..
Up to $2500 means there may be one chance for the $2500, but more likely it's something like $5

Damn Right!
Damn Right, me too!
They sent me something in the mail with the letter that looks like a gift card but it says that it isn't. And like Kyle said test driving cars is fun.

Well I went there today and I won a whopping $5 gift certificate to Target. And the nearest Target is on the other side of Columbia by the V.A.
The good news is I got to drive a GTO. The sellsman asked me if I was in the market for a new car, and I told him that I an seriously considering buying a Terminator Cobra. So of course he starts trying to sell me Pontiacs equivalent to the Cobra, and tells me that they have two GTO's, one is a used 2004 Auto(which of course has an LS1) and the other is a new 2006 6-speed (which has a LS2). He then asks me if I'd like to drive one of them and which one. After thinking long and hard I told him that I'll take the brand new 6-speed LS2 car with 400hp/400ft-lb of torque please.
Ya'll it really is amazing what they can do with cars nowadays, I've ridden in Mercedes that did have motors as smooth as this car. Its so quit and smooth idling that theres no way you would ever guess that this car had anything near 400hp if you didn't know what kind of car it was. You also wouldn't know it had 400hp from just driving it around in normal traffic, until you floor the gas petal and it just throws your body back into the awesome seats with much more authoritaaah than any stock GT Mustang.
Also, new chassis for the win(or whatever you young bucks say ). Where if I floor it in 1st or 2nd gear(mostly stock GT motored Roush stage II with BFG G-Force 295/35/18 rear tires)the rearend will break free and start swaying side to side, this car doesn't do that. I pulled out where there was a big curve in the road, in 1st gear, going about 10mph and floored it, and the tires didn't even churp it just flung me around the curb fast a hell. If I did that in my Mustang the rearend would have ended up in front of the frontend.
Needless to say I was very impressed. LS2's are awesome, and the seats, steering wheel, and shifter location couldn't get much better. And LS2 GTO's are faster than LS1 F-Bodies, I've had a couple Trans Am owners tell me they aren't. Its ashame that the GTO's were so blandly styled, and didn't sell very well, because they really are very nice cars.

I wonder if the t/c was on. I've never owned a car with traction control so I didn't think to check.

Yeah that was a real fun car to drive. When your use to driving a 260hp car everyday, 400hp seems fast as hell. It kind of surprised me, I've test driven a ws6 with a LS1 and have ridden in a old buddy of mines 2000 T/A a few times(his is an Auto) and the impression that I always got was that they didn't have alot of lowend power, but they like to rev and pull real hard up top. But the GTO had a very broad/consistant powerband, but it still liked to rush to its redline, maybe its the 6-speed. So either I had the wrong impression about LS1's, or the LS2's are much improve on the lowend torque department. Now I just need Love Chevrolet to send me one of those card so I can test drive a new Z06.
