jegs dual exhaust

I found a catback system on Jegs for $189.
Cat-Back Exhaust System
2-1/2'' Dia. Tubing
1999-04 V6
Utilizes the factory intermediate Y-pipe
Does Not Include Turndowns

Is this a good idea, I know its much cheaper than all the other catbacks. And will this bolt right up to the y pipe?

i wouldnt see it being any different than any other bolt on catback system...........jegs is a pretty good trusted name from what i hear. i thought they catered to more chebbies than anyone else though


and yes, if it "utilizes the stock y" then yes it will bolt right on, hence "utilizes the stock y"

Yea, I just looked into that system. It is alot cheaper than all the other catbacks. I was looking at a Borla system today that was $1,000 bucks! Thats crazy for just a catback. The jegs system being only 186 or whatever it was makes me wonder if it really is a good system.

You get what you pay for. I've ordered from Jegs before and never had any problems, but I don't think I'd expect something they manufacture themselves to be the highest of quality.

^^ bbunt302 speaks the truth you get what you pay for, if you cut corners then you should expect issues and you should also expect to get caught and in the end pay more than you would have to have just done it right in the first place. Its just a risk you take.

thank god for local shops cause i paid 800 installed at my local shop when i bought my Borla exhuast and you know what it was worth every penny of it too cause

stainless steel > aluminum

and im more then sure that kit from Jegs its gonna be aluminum cause thats one cheap price for a catback thats for sure
