I should be the new bullitt because everyone that has seen me knows I look just like him...

Well, people who have seen it still don't know what the story line was, because its a bad movie. But I am still sticking with Daniel Craig. Frank Bullitt is a middle aged, rugged, hardened detective. Steve McQueen was just a bad ass dude, all the time, he looked it, he acted it. IMO, Reynolds is just too pretty boy and young to pull off Bullitt.

Yup. Craig FTW. Using him, they could almost just do a sequel and pick the story up where the first left off because of their similar looks alone.

yeah he would make a kickass Steve McQueen. i would see it if it has a storyline you can follow and has just as good action driving sequences. oh and of course, a 05+ stang bullitt'd out going up against a charger (or was it a challenger) just like the original. or maybe this time a new camaro?

69 Charger.

But hell, up the ante.... throw in the new Challenger and Camaro this time around.

The Challenger is one car I'm definitely waiting to check out. It probably has the best retro design yet IMO. The Camaro.... it just doesn't do it for me at all.

I have thought about it for a while myself. They would have to use both the 68 mustang fastback and the new bullitt in the car. it would make sense that Lt Frank Bullitt has the new car as his regular everyday car and at some point in the film is forced to use another car which would be the 68 Fastback. Something similar could be planned for the Charger now that both cars are available. Perhaps the old Mustang chasing the new charger. As for the lead it was rumored for a long time that Brad Pitt was to play the lead but I haven't seen anything listed under his credits on Imdb so it is probably a rumor still.
