Spent a lot of time this week getting the Stang back in decent working condition. Replaced the Front and rear rotors and brake pads (the passenger side rear pads were nothing but metal and the rotor was cut down drastically) and I bled the brakes so now they feel great.
I got tired of my trunk rattling horribly so I set out to do some drastic sound dampening. This included removing all the moldings from inside the trunk (I was missing some fasteners so some of the moldings were loose.) Once I removed all the moldings I ripped out the rest of the flaps on the driver side (See this thread: http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum/t24391 (I'll be doing the passenger side later, for now the masking tape works ) I then removed the rear deck because Ford for some reason thought it was necessary to put a metal clip to make sure the rear deck didn't get any bright ideas and try to uninstall itself (cause you know, it's so easy to remove ). The metal clip was causing all sorts of vibration when the sub hit. So I just pulled it off and put it back in without it and so far the rear deck hasn't made any attempts to flee. I'll put the moldings back in when I get some extra fasteners for it.
After I got that done I woke up the next day and decided I was tired of my beat up stock GT mufflerrs with their multiple small holes in them so I went up to a performance shop here in town and bought me some Flowmaster 40 series for 155.50 and then took them to a muffler shop and had them put on for another 50. So now my car doesn't make ticking noises and actually sounds awesome down low. Above 3500 is raspy but I can deal with it until I get the new engine in.
Anyway took some pictures:

Nice Brent.
Good to see you working on it.
Man I thought for sure you would have your motor done before me.
I guess not, mine gets installed in 10 days.

Yea I was hoping I would have it installed as well but things just didn't work out like I wanted them to. Sooner or later though.
Can't wait to see yours together

the truth is brent is leading you all on. hes actually in a secret search for the all amazing sonic blue KB cobra.
i know what you mean though brent, feels good to fix some of the small problems that popup over time. All i have left is my rear end whine and my TOB which doesnt annoy me as much now as my rear end. now that im cobra-less its time to get back on track with project eleanor, FR500's are probably the first order of business seeing as i have maybe 20% tread left all around.
