Long tube header vs. short tube

I've heard some people say that they had great results from adding long tube headers and others prefer short tube. I wanna hear what some of you prefer. What are the pros and cons to both?

The only bad thing about long tubes is the fact that they can be a bitch to work with. They often hang low and scrape if your car is lowered. They make it a near impossibility to change a starter. They can also be a major PITA to install.

Other than that, they are hands down superior to short tube headers.

Well my car is already a lowered Saleen with the Racecraft suspension so it scrapes anyways. I already used to that. I've been leaning towards the long tubes anyways and will be having them put on when I have my x-pipes put on.

Try Bassani's mid-length headers, alsmost as powerful as long tubes. From what i understand you can change the starter and drop the transmission with them in place. Only draw back is you need to use their x-pipe.

Bassani was already the brand of x-pipes I was planning on using. Thanks for the advice but if I can get more power out of long tubes, then I will.

i say go with the long tubes...more power and i personally think they sound better than shorty or bassani mid lengths but thats just my $.02
