My son just turned 16 and what a mustang. Since I own a Cobra and Insurance kills, Is a 1994 V6 the best way or what because he doesnt what the car to sound like a forgien tuner.
I would think any V6 would be a good way to go. It would all depend on which body style he likes the best between the smooth and new edge styles. It would be a good place for him to start and get into the whole car thing. There are a lot of things y'all can do to the 6 to inch the power and general feel of the car up slowly until he is ready for the big leagues.

a 99-04 will have a little more power, but nothing a 16 year old cant handle imo. I'd say either way a v6 stang is a good starting car

i've got an 03 v6 and just had the exhaust changed over to flowmaster dual and it sounds a lot better. sounds similar to a gt but not too much power for him.
