Exclamation question for the pros here

I have a 93 gt 5 speed 5.0 ok now the mods it has a trickflow intake edelbrock 70mm throttle body C&L meter and tube 24lb injectors adj. fuel pressure regulator bbk pullies bbk long tube headers off road h pipe no cats flowmasters roller rockers. Now my question is the check engine light keeps on flashing off and on doesnt come on coasting or idleing or changing gears. My temp stays around 150-160 oh yeah it has a aftermarket radiator too and the oil temp is on the like the 2nd or 3rd mark from the top idles fine

Go to your local parts store and have them pull the codes. It's free at most places, and it will give us a much better idea of what's going on.

BTW, that's a nice, clean fox you have there.

yeah but when its idleing the light is not on will it still give a code ????
oh thanks just bought it about a month ago it only has 61,559 original miles too next is the wheels

Do the parts stores in your area do OBD I checks? Around here they only do OBD II for you which sucks.

personally my car always threw codes for whatever stupid reason i went and spent like 35 bucks on a Ford Reader let me see if i can find the link. Its one of the better investments i made honestly

but if the light is flashing off and on will it still read the code if the light is off? It doesnt do it unless your are driving down the road

if theres any code being thrown it should be able to catch it

well I got the code reader and not to be dumb or what But I looked for the place to plug it in and I cant find it anyone know where it is

OBD I is under the hood on the right (Passenger) rear of the engine bay, towards the firewall. It should have some kind of cover on the connector to protect it from the elements.

i looked for it but couldnt find it it got dark on me I will check tommorrow thanks so your saying its in the corner near the wiper motor?

i did see a cover that went over the positive battery cable but I didnt remove the cover thats probably it

Foxes are different than 94-95 models. The connector in my car is on the passenger side.

when i went to check mine it still had the cover over the connection just take it off and pull her in

I'm sorry that was a different car I remembered reading from the passenger side wheel well. My mistake. Hope it didn't cost ya much time.

the codes I got were 10,29,31,96 and after I started it I got 40 also
