Yeah, I remember when we were in South Carolina, Nick and I were driving behind Corey and he took on a Lightning, and I wasn't very impressed with it either.

You guys haven't been to the track in Huntsville very much I take it... A big-ass truck running mid to low 7's in the 1/8th mile is pretty impressive to me. Of course, they weren't stock, but still.
They used to be all over the place at the strip in Huntsville too.

A stock Lightning will run just as fast or a faster e.t than a stock n/a Cobra. Somewhere in the mid 13 second range.
In 99 & 00 they had 360 HP and 440 ft-lb of torque.
In 01 - 04 they had 380 HP and 450 ft-lb of torque.
Ford claims they weight less than 4700lb but my guess is probably around 4800 or 4900lb. Still I think their awesome trucks and would love to own one.

Here's something comparing a Lightning to the more expensive Dodge Ram SRT-10.

It's funny that the Ram is bigger and heavier, but can't tow shit.

no actually the drivetrain does not have any towing support like a standard Ram. If you did put a tow hitch on it, its maximum towing capacity is enough for a jetski or two, maybe a little trailer/dolly for taking crap to the landfill, but thats about it. basically if you can tow it with a civic, you can tow it with a SRT-10 Ram.
Ive actually been looking at the Lightnings. Basically same mod tree as a terminator, and its a truck, which i think i will need in the up and coming years. a 12 second capible truck with minor modification that can still haul shit with is pretty sweet IMO. Sure it wont pull a houseboat, but if i needed to take some furniture or such i wont have to ask a buddy like i do now.

its what happens when 95% of the CARS on the road cant touch you in a goddamn truck. you cant help it when you hit up the local cruise strip, and every car you come next to or around you look around like "Ok, you, you, you, you and you, cant touch me, you can maybe if you are modded, ok this guy probably if he can drive but he cant, so nobody at this light has anything on me, and im still mostly stock so it wouldnt bother me anyway".
