Help with Brakes

Ok I am just changing my pads, but cannot take the caliper off because its some weird kind of star or something? Usually its just a bolt on most cars, but does anyone know what tool I use and what size? thnks and my car is a 98 GT

Mine was stripped out on the inside so no Star wrench (which is what you need I cant remember what size it is) would work. So I took a pipe wrench and got it out.

did you replace it when you put it back together?

No it had enough groove in where the pipe cleaner gripped it to tighten it all the way back up
