wheel HP on a dyno = different from crank HP
WHP = ~18% less than crank HP

Plus, just about every dyno is different. The operator can actually make it appear like you car gained "20" hp from a cold air intake by messing with the variables in the computer. Dyno numbers are for supra owners is what I say. Dyno's are nothing but a machine to tune your car to run at it's best with aftermarket parts. You can take a totally stock 99-04 gt and go to one dyno shop with a dyno jet and get upwards of 250ish at the wheels and in the same day go somewhere with a mustang(not ford mustang) dyno and only get 200ish at the wheels.

You don't. Dyno numbers are just that, numbers. The best way to figure out what kind of power you are putting at the wheels is to go the strip and run it. MPH to me is the best way to guesstimate the capability of the car. ET though, is the most important because it factors in power, traction, suspension, and driver.

If you want the true reading of HP/TQ you will have to find a perfectly calibrated dyno and dyno it, you can tweek them to read much higher. I am sure many "tuners" out there just tweek the settings and tell you that you got 40hp from their tune...

a 99-04 GT is rated at 260 to the crank and puts down 220-240 to the wheels depending on dyno, weather, etc.
with some mods like boltons and tuning, he can reach 300 to the crank and dyno anywhere between 240-260 to the wheels.
