I don't have a sticker on my windshield, all I know is that it was made in August of 2002. Would ya'll recommend joining SVTOA, could I find it out there.

Whether you join SVTOA or not won't matter. SVT now charges for the birth certificate of your car. Call them, give them the VIN, and they will send it to you. It just might be a touch cheaper if you join SVTOA...but that will cost you money anyhow so it evens out.
One thing to look into is whether or not your car has received upgraded heads. The reason I say that is because the first run of cobras, of which your car is one, are prone to the tick (all runs are,e but the earlier the run, the more susceptible).
Either way, Mod #1 needs to be a cooling mod. This can be the LDC cooling mod ($195) or the evan flow cooling mod ($120). It is up to you. Both provide an outlet for the coolant in the #7 and 8 colanders so that it does just sit and boil. The best mod would be to get yourself a set of 2005 updated heads...but, those are like 1200 each...so yeah.

Yeah I look at the build date for that very reason and was tempted to buy an 04 instead but this one had the best clutch and lowiest mileage plus it was the fastest as most of his cars were stock. He said that he has the cars he sell inspected for the tick and that this one does not have that problem, but I will defenantly look into the mods you mentioned.

do some cooling upgrades YESTERDAY and you should be ok, LCD or so mod, heat exchanger, etc just to put your mind at ease and NO HIGH MPH RUNS that REALLY makes the tick come out, I have yet to be over 90mph in mine lol... well maybe 100
I just want a windshield sticker to have, no real value to it~ just shows the car is more taken care of IMO cuz the owner cared enough to have the sticker etc etc.

Yeah if I got the Tick I'm going to be PO'd. You can hear a very slight clicking noise when you stand out side of the car, but when I open the hood I can't hear it, my old Roush made a simular noise so I don't know. I didn't hear it when I bought it. Like I said it's a very very low click and on one else can notice it.

You can't inspect for the tick. It is either ticking or it isn't. You would know...it is a god awful sound. You develop the tick when running at high speeds for extended periods where the coolant in #7 and 8 pretty much boil and shit starts to warp...then things become unhappy.
Cooling mod, no extended 160 mph runs...and you will be good to go.

1800 FORD SVT is the phone number for your build date and build number. They'll tell it to you for free, if you want the certificate I think they're like 30 bucks now.

The LDC and Even flow mod are about equal in effect.
Even Flow Pros:
Runs directly into the cooling system instead of merging into an existing small tube
Does not require dropping the transmission
Cons:
Requires that you run a tube along your passenger valve cover and cut into your coolant hose...unless you weld a bung into the crossover tube like some have done
The even flow can be had here --> Even Flow Head Cooling Mod [EF-COOLINGKIT] - $120.00
LDC Pros:
Is invisible as it is behind the engine only, no extra tubes
Cons:
Requires dropping the transmission
Merges with the outlet of the passenger head
Check this site for installed pics --> Installation
The LDC can be had here --> LDC Chicago Superior Automotive Products, Inc.
While it looks like I have built the even flow up, they really are the same in effectiveness. In fact, you can even run them both at the same time to double their effectiveness. The even flow is claimed to be installable from the top of the engine, while the LDC requires dropping the trans. The even flow can be made to look good as some have done some interesting installs (search svtp for even flow install).
