I don't know if this has been asked before. Can an a/m amp be installed in place of the factory amps while still using the stock head unit on a 460 system? I, strange enough, like the stock head unit and if I don't need to replace it, I don't want to. Any ideas?

a couple of audio people think that my factory amps can't handle the a/m speakers i put in place of my lows. they keep cutting out at midrange volume with just a little bass. i am re-intalling my factory lows and seeing if that changes. if it does, then i know that i need a new, higher wattage amp. does that sound right to you?

If you are looking for more lows, then just put a PAC adapter from the wires going to your present lows then run your power/remote wires and just add an amp and a sub. Way less trouble for more sound. Just be sure to use the SNI-35 or the 35 watt adapter.
i re-installed my factory lows (good thing i kept them) and it turns out that my amps just suck and can't handle the a/m speakers. so for now i have to leave the fac speakers in and wait to purchase a new amp. would rather have the fac speakers in than having the a/m cut out. that's freaking annoying.

some people might not be able to find something like that just by a part number or "the 35 watt adapter"
