3.73 gears

I've heard from multiple people that 3.73s hurt your gas mileage, and some say it doesn't affect it. Do 3.73s make gas mileage go south? What about 4.10s? |

There will be negative effect on gas mileage by upgrading gears. The 4.10 ratio will have more negative impact than the 3.73's, but any negative effect can usually be offset by installing a CAI and a 25% under drive pulley. Do it! You won't be sorry!

usually you will notice 2 mpg less on the hwy and about the same if not more in the city just depending on how the driving it~

and if you are like me and only care if you're over 200 miles to the tank full...
i don't drive slow enough to count mpg. if my mpt is lower than 200, then i start to worry.

Wow, i wish i could get 200 miles per tank easily. I can't go much more than that. O well, you don't drive a mustang for gas milage. |

never have never will. if i wanted to watch gas mileage i would drive my wife's chebby.

I've been running 3:73 for awhile and the effect on gas mileage is next to nothing But the kick in the ass is well worth any gas milage lost

ive run 4.10's in my v6 and have actually seen a slight increase in mileage. |
