I wouldnt mind droping my cats or going with high flow (or better yet long tubes) but... there is very little gain overall and it will be WAY to loud.

WITHOUT THE CATS IT WILL BE A BIT LOUDER....GOING FROM H TO X PIPE, THE X IS SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER THAN H AND MAKE 5-10HP MORE THAN H, BUT THAT DEPENDS IF MORE ON YOUR MOTOR SET-UP IF IT CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE AIRFLOW....THE ONLY THING ABOUT SIDE EXIT EXHAUST IS THAT THE FUMES HAVE A TENDACY TO ROLL INTO THE CABIN OF THE CAR AT IDLE WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN...GOD FORBID U RUN A HIGH LIFT CAM THAT RUNS SUPER RICH AT IDLE ......I HAD A 95 WIT DA SIDE EXHAUST BUILT INTO THE BODY KIT.....LOOKED GOOD, SOUNDED GOOD, KEEP DA WINDOWS UP!!!!...LOL.......HOWEVER, U WILL LOVE DAT SPINTECH SOUND!!!!!I HAVE BBK OFF-ROAD X AND MAC CAT BACK....TWICE AS LOUD AS MY FLOWMASTER 40 WIT CATS....MAKES A BIT MORE TORQUE FOR SHO!!!!...OVERAL I THINK U WILL LOKE YOUR NEW SET-UP THOUGH

Offroad will be hella loud with your stingers...at least that I what I "think".
Your best bet would be to go with the MRT catted H-Pipe...it has a great deep sound to it.
Or, if you decide on long tubes, go with stainless works and get their long tubes (beautiful pieces I must say) and their catted X-Pipe. It will be louder than your current setup though...they also have the complete header back setup, but I don't know how their catback sounds.

i keep the stocker in case a smog hookup is un-available.
but you know what, fuck the law. i am not going to let some beureaucrat tell me what i can and cannot do to MY vehicle that I pay for, that I pay for insurance on, that MY taxes pay for the roads, just cause he let some fucking treehuggin hippie get in his mind.
long term goals ARE turbo'in the GT with a built mod5.0, short term is getting the little things out of the way that make the car funner for the short term until all is ready to get the long term in. so what, fucking reff me and fine me for no cats, ill pay the fine, return to stock, sign it all off (but the fine) and stick it all back on. gotta pay to play the game, is how i look at it.

Yes, I am a tree hugger...just look at my sig, it will be obvious.
I suggested cats to spector because I know his taste based on when he was asking cat back opinions long before you arrived. He doesn't want nascar loud...so offroad would not be the way for him to go.
2 blocks? Hell, my car is audible for miles. The house always knows when I am coming once I turn on the main drag with is about 5 miles away. They listen as it gets louder the closer I get. So don't think your 2 blocks is a big deal.
