Dummy Sensor

Where do you get these and what are they actually called. Its not for me. I had one put in the mustang by the muffler shop

Im prolly wrong but wouldnt that mess something up... Dont they test the exhaust fules and tell the engine how much fuel to use to mix with the air or am i thinkin about the mass air

That's the front O2 sensors. The rear O2 sensors are after the cats and don't do anything...besides telling the computer if the cats are working or not.

The MAF sensor tells the computer how much fuel to spray, too.

96 and newer cars have 2 O2 sensors, upstream and downstream. The first one (upstream) is what the computer goes off of. The rear basically just tells if the cats are working properly.

Thats correct. You have one O2 sensor per bank(Each side of the exhaust). OBD I doesn't have as many monitors as OBD II.
