to keep a long story short my mother inlaw has a dodge stratus 2.7 v6 she had a transmission line start leaking that I fixed for her some months back. She has had a phobia every since that something else will happen to the car and it will leave her somewhere on the road. she drove it over the other day wanted me to check the air in the tire check the transmission fluid level and a few other things anyway I ask her if she wanted me to run it down the road at 90mph just to check it out. "I was getting a bit agrevated being this is about the 10th time she had ask me to check it out" She said she wish I would to see if something is wrong with it. This is a sweet little car with low miles and good bit of pep i found out. anyway I got to a safe place to do it and I start off from a stop not just stomping it but I got into it quick I was about to get worried that the transmission had problems because the motor was begining to wind up like a chain saw I looked down at the tach and noted the red line was 6500 I held it down getting ready to lift as it hit 6500 then it changed gears. It just caught me off guard it red lined so high. This little motor sure got some well built guts. Has anyone out there got one and what do you think of it.
