dont go chrome, chrome will just rust in no time and look like crap. I would recommend 22-24 inch long at least, if you go any shorter you will see where they are welded onto the tip. Dont go any bigger than 3 inch either. For 99+ with the stock rear bumper I think 2.5-3.0 inch tips that are 22 inches longer and angled up a bit look great.
I got some back in the day from Rod Shop Performance Center - Patented Hi-Flow Stainless Steel Exhaust Products they may still have some.

you might can pick some up locally, around here all they had was chrome or stubby little short stainless steel tips... they need to be rather long

i got 24 x 4 on my stang....if u go wit chrome....u will need to clean them wit a brillo pad from time to time to keep the rust down...then use chrome or wheel polish on them....the tips i have r over 3yrs. old....i cut them off of my t-bird, grounded the ends and re-welded them to my mac cat back...if u want them to stay pretty they require twice as much maint. as chrome wheels...u have to maintain them though, if not like spec said, they will rust out......remember, brillo pad and wheel polish...also, anything u use to clean gasket surfaces with that works with a rotary tool will remove rust without taken off much of the chrome.......again, they require way more maint than a set of wheels and u gotta be consistant with it.....if u let the rust get past the chrome coating itsa done deal....i take brillo pad to it to knock off the rust whenever i wash the car...hope this doesnt discourage u.
