Ok does anyone else have this problem? Im not sure what mustangs have the mach 6 disc in dash cd player but I have an 02 with the mach 460. it seems like every once in a while when all the slots are full and I try to eject a cd the freaking thing gets stuck and it says cd error. But the flap that u put the cd into stays open. Then ALWAYS like 2 days later ill just be listining to the radio and a cd will pop out WTF. Anyone know how I can fix this or had this same problem and know what it is? I really dont want an aftermarket d player cause I love the 6disc in the dash. Thanks

Had the EXACT problem with my MACH 460 in the Bullitt. Eventually I had to hit the radio to get it to work(with 85,000 miles) and then the CD changer just quit. Just bought a new radio and said FAH Q POS radio.

The stock 6 disc is a POS...but gets the job done for a while...until the warranty is up anyhow. Your best bet is to just replace it.

Thanks guys thats what I figured. Does anyone know something I could do to keep the 6 disc in the dash? Like an aftermarket pioneer or something?

yeah as the CD is coming out, you get another CD and gently press up (or is it press down)on the CD in the deck as it gets stuck but its still trying to eject it, itll hit the rollers and come out.
im replacing mine after the rear end/rear brake changeover.

My old cd player would sometimes not eject my cd's, but my Roush didn't have a Mach 460 or 6 disc cd changer. |

same thing happened to my sister in her 04...she had her system changed 3 times before she hasn't had a problem....although she drives her gtp now so i don't know if it is still workin in her stang lol

This same thing happens to my 2002 from time to time. I just take another CD and give the visible in the open flap a little push, usually from the top down. It spits it out and doesn't do it again for a month or two.
The first time I did it with my knife blade and ruined the CD. Using another CD doesn't seem to bother it.

Oh lord, now I dont' feel quite so alone, mine does the exact same thing, drives me crazyyy! What do I do? Hit the dash (apoligize to her), slam on the breaks (apoligize again) cuss and call her dirty words (erm...sorry again?). Then say screw it and wait it out until it fixes it's self.  |

When my brother bought the white mustang he later passed onto me it came with a 6dics cd changer, pioneer. We never had any problems with it to my knowledge. Maybe I could sell it off, it's just chilling in the garage now.
