ok.. check this out
I left my main stuff in my dorm over the holidays right...my 27" TV, my kenwood stereo, a papson chair, and some dvds and psp games... well my room mate moved and went to live in an apartment... and somehow they thought i withdrew so the janitors cleaned out my room. I came back from the holidays to find all my stuff gone... and now i'm told that the only thing they still have is the TV i was told they "plugged in the stereo to see if it was in working order" but before i left my stereo was working fine... that thing could shake people's rooms two floors away. i bet they stole in and saide it didn't work so they could keep it. But i'm pissed and i'm having to right a list of everything t that i know was in the room so i can take it up with the dean of student afairs.
needless to say i'm pissed

call UPD... they have no right to touch anything. when my GF was in the dorms, they had to unplug everything but thats it. Hell I took pics of everything, wrote down #'s off the items incase there was a fire i had proff she had what she said she had .

wait.. school started a week ago... when did you find out? Didn't you come back late?
and no, they had no right to do that, you and housing hold a contract for that room. They're supposed to check with 'everyone' including you and the university, to make sure if you're coming back next semester if you're not there when school starts. My roommate left over Christmas holiday too my freshman year, and they notified me first of a 'consolidation' before I had to 'move in with another student' to avoid paying for a single room. They weren't supposed to touch anything... and they didn't. I don't know what happened to your room, but you get your butt to Housing, and the Dean as quickly as you can, notifying police if the others aren't helpful is a must also.
Damn Will.. I'm so sorry.

i lost all the electronics and ferniture in this pic except the stuff that came with the room like the desk chairs and the bed and the dresser under the tv
even those damn band shoes are gone
