What you need to do is find an installation kit and see if it accepts double din receivers. As far as I know the Mach 460 head unit is a double DIN. My recommendation would be a good Kenwood unit if you are looking for a media player as well as music. Touch screen, DVD, wma, mp3, aux inputs, you name it. Here's a link.

Dammit, I wish I had that harness number. My old boss at hooper's in columbus has the number for the harness from Metra. We put a radio in no problem in the Bullitt, with that harness. If you want, call 662 329 1007 and ask what harness they would use for an 02 GT with a MACH 460. If they are closed today, they open back up at 9 tomorrow morning.

if youre going with new speakers id just rewire everything and shitcan the mach460 crap (or sell it on ebay). thats what i plan on doing, going with a single din up front, new infinity components up front and infinity 5x8 or whatever sits in the back of the rear speaker rack, and running completely new wire.

I would recommender buying all Eclipse components, but that is because thats my favorite brand. In reality pretty much all name brand equipment is going to be good, even though certain companies make certain components better than others and vice-versa.

Yep ive had to this on 2 stangs already with this system. first time i did the whole bypass the amp thing...never again second stang i just ripped everything out that was to much of a nightmare seriously
Eclipse/Alpine are prolly the two best companies out there
Pioneer/Kenwood follows
but thats just my experience with certain products

Yup im going to order new speakers. My buddy works at a audio shop in NC and he told me he'd get me some sick memphis speakers at cost and send me the wires and everything I needed to rewire the whole thing. And to think....I used to love the MACH system

To be honest with you I don't find the Mach system to be much, if any better than the base system in my last Mustang. Others will probably say different though.

you DO NOT have to replace the amps. They told me that 2 but I did my own system added a touch screen Panasonic readio with CD changer under it and it sounds awsome. Getting the box to fit in with the amps is a bitch but I built my box and it fits right in there. I would not take out the amps that are in there.
