Not worth it. Your stock maf is adequate until you exceed 275-300RWHP. If you do go and install a different maf you'll want to get a new dynotune.

I had a bullit make close to that once, with Lts, but it had the stock intake tube, and of course the bullit has a better intake manifold.

Gears and a MAF have nothing to do with gaining hp. Dyno's are good for tuning your car, taking it to the track is how you measure your performance gains.
+1 With what Spector said.

so you guys dont believe that long tubes, maf, power pipe, and a X-pipe instead of a H-pipe would equate to 20 hp over my set up?

The long tubes will have more of an affect on his numbers over your than the MAF. THe power pipe might be good for about 2-3, x is good for about 3-4 maybe, and the LT's = the rest pretty much.

I will say you are correct. Now, if you want to throw that to long tubes, you will get more than just getting the MAF.

yeah its kinda funny, my buddies car that im speaking of is no louder than my car cause he has the long tubes with a x-pipe. when i do the headers should i stick with a h or get a x? i know i need to get a short pipe with the long tubes any way, but ive heard that you can maximize your hp with certian x/h pipe and muffler combos something like baffled vs. flow through design?
