im getting a wireless earpiece for work soon, but thats so i can work and talk to customers at the same time.
my cousin works for Tmobile and wears those dam things all the time. im just like "dude, society doesnt need you that much you need to wear that 24/7"

My phone doesn't even support that...and I like it that way. If I need to talk to someone I pick up the phone and put it to my ear for a few minutes.
Then again I think I'm one of the few people who has a phone that doesn't have picture capabilities, mp3 player, camera, etc. My phone calls...

Aman brotha haha. I hate when people do that. I was sitting by the window at ruby tue. in the mall this past weekend and this guy is standing outside facing me just talking away to what looks like no one haha. It gets on my nerves. |

I do not and will not speak into any type penis device use for communicating!! I can't stand those dumb ass things. The only reasonable usage for one of those bluetooth (who the hell came up with that name any way?) thingies would seem most effective in a vehicle...but even then If I get a phone call while traveling, I say "Hey, lemme call ya back in a sec."

yep i refuse to get one cause im pretty sure thats one way to get cancer quicker (if you ever read cell manuals it tells you NOT to put it directly up to your ear) im pretty sure that stupid ear piece is just as bad
Ill pay the fine if i get caught without it while driving seriously stupidest thing ever hell my gf works for Verizon and she refuses to wear hers too and shes gotten hers for free

bluetooth isnt for me.. yet.
for now, a regular cell phone is just fine. in the future.. who knows? but for now, my arm can handle the 3 ounce device.

Psst. thems bluetooth signals going to the earpiece, not cell signals.
the cell signal debate has about as much credibility as if i told you breathing in too much oxygen will give you anal cancer. besides, the signal sent and recieved from the sats is about half as powerful now than it was years ago, because the phone itself is usually twice as good and can pick up a even fainter signal better.

theres nothing i cant stand more than when i'm in my recliner watching internet porn and someone calls. i gotta shift forward, move the laptop off me, walk across the living room to the bar, and get the phone. but with the bluetooth, i just press the button of the device on my ear and mute the porn............i never have to move.
actually, i had one for about a week and returned it and got my money back b/c i never thought i would get the $130 i paid for it |

I agree. Especially in the winter when I'm wearing gloves, its a pain trying to hit buttons or even really hold the phone. In the car, I think it makes cell phone use safer (though, for some simple minded people I suppose it could still be enough distraction to cause an accident) but outside of the car, put it away. It used to the beeping from two-way walkie-talkie things that drove me nuts, but these are definitely taking over. |

I would too, cept even normal conversation with the person next to me is difficult at speed. Haha, and those bluetooth mics are sensitive, and picks up more of the wind and top noise than the actual phone, tho I do have a cheap one. I am actually going to get bluetooth headphones one of the days since I have the chocolate and will listen to music with them. They can also be used as a hands free headset, so we will see how they work for that.

ehh, i think some of you guys might be blowing it out of proportion. i know some ppl do use it way too much. but times are changin. things are becomming more mobil and wireless. i used to wear mine alot, but it tends to rly hurt the ear. but it is very nice for us manual tranny guys. so for the car its great, but for 24/7, not so good. |

Oh, the technology is awesome, I just don't see the need to carry it around on your ear all the time. If you absolutely need it, keep it in your pocket till your phone rings. When you walk into a bar, and i see a blue light flashing from your ear, you are already a douche to me. Good luck changing that impression.

it really depends on where you live, how much your in a car and how much your job requires you stay on the phone..
Knoxville traffic is a bitch, and in the alarm bussiness you spends alot of time with tech support and central station/police opperations and so on. alot of my old companies tech's used them for these reasons, as I didn't work in knoxville nearly as much as them I don't use one, for reasons posted in this thread.
