I am planning on buying a short shifter, what do you recommend? and I am also thinking to buy a new hood. Is that any good websites that specialize in hoods?

MGWltd.com for the shifter. For the hood be VERY careful what you buy many companies make a HORRIBLE product and some are unsafe to run without hood pins. Check out www.cervinis.com they are extremly good and have very high quality.

Yes, have heard bad things about ABC bother service wise and fit/finish wise. Cervinis is kind of an industry standard for buying stuff.
MGW is the only shifter you need to look at. Don't waste your time with any of the others.

That's what I did as well. Had the triax, now have the MGW (with the blue handle ) and it is like butter compared to the steeda. A lot quieter, smother, and a ton shorter...but most of the shortness is because of the blue handle which everyone with one knows you can't get anymore.

I have the orange handle and I like it its as short as the steeda and easier to reach and shift

I got lucky and found a used one for sale...it came with the red and blue handles...I have the blue installed and don't see myself installing the red....and certainly won't be getting the orange.
