I posted a problem bout a month ago about my car slipping when I accelarate. Since then, I have changed my fuel filter and I recharged my K & N air filter. The problem persists.
I haven't taken it in to the mechanics but I'm starting to cuz I still have the problem. It feels like the rear end slips when accelarating or the transmission slips at the area where the tranny connects to the rear end..the drive shaft I think. You think that my drive shaft is broken.
I first noticed the problem when I was driving from Cali to Tex. 200 miles into the trip I through Pacheco Pass (Hwy152) I began to feel it slip through the hills. The problem continued and increased in frequency. It jerked a lot coming around the 1,600 mile. I made it all the way 1,800mi in 28hrs and sleeping for 1hr 45min.0
I problem continues and I wanna fix it. Could it be my spark plug wires, I haven't changed those since I bought 94,500mi ago. I changed the plugs at bout 82,000mi.

It's definitely not your driveshaft...
Have you checked the tranny fluid? Also, has the tranny ever been serviced? As in has the tranny ever been flushed and refilled.
Without actually driving the car it's hard to diagnose a problem, but slipping while accelerating I would attest to the tranny.
If it is missing while you are accelerating, it could be alot of things. I'd start with plugs and wires then move on to the distributor/coil if it still does it.
I was having problems with my car missing a few months back and it ended up being my fuel system of all things. It's always better to check the cheap/easy things first though, b/c changing your fuel system is not the cheapest or easiest by far.

your rear end cant slip (unless its broke and you aint going anywhere) and your driveshaft cant slip (unless its broke and you aint going anywhere) My bet is the transmission. You said yourself it has a ton of miles and has basically not been taken care of... now you have to pay up for it buy a new one do not rebuild it... a rebuild is just asking for more issues....
(of course make sure it is the transmission first)

It sounds like the tanny... Sounds like its low of fluid kinda... Definatly get that checked out... Unless you want an excuse to buy a performance one then its the transmission and there isnt anyway to fix it..

You checked the fluid level, I assume. Could be a sticky valve body, clogged filter, bad pump, bad clutch packs or a passage inside the tranny is partially blocked. I'd flush the tranny

I forgot to mention I also changed the tranny fluid at around 91K I had the pan removed, drain and filled back up. 5.5 quarts of oil and new filter. I dont know if it is the tranny. This is going to be a difficult one to diagnose. Until it breaks.

What do you mean it hasn't been taken care of? What should I have done that I haven't already done for maintenance? I changed my plugs at 80k, fuel filter at 90k and tranny oil at 90k. I bought my car w/ 14.00mi. I could use some wires...you think that may be it? How do I fix this or what do I tell the mechanic or what type of mechanic do I take it to? Also what else should I do to the car for maintenance? Is greasing and oiling necessary, if so what parts should I grease and oil?
