I am not sure how the HTZ's are sized, but a 315 might be a bit big for the 9" rim. I am running 315 nittos on my stock 9" rims. I can get away with it because nittos are not a true 315...they are narrower. If the HTZ's are a full 315, they will probably fit the rim, but they will look bad being all bulged out from the rim.
As for will they fit in the back of your car...315s fit on an 03/04 cobra with some slight tweaks. I would think they would fit a solid axel car fine since there are not IRS bolts and stuff to work around. However, I can't say 100% they will right this second. But, I do have an 02 GT at home I could throw my rims and tires on right quick and test it for you with the Nittos and see how the clearance is....
I will check back later and see if anyone else gives a solid answer. If they don't, I will swap rims and get some pics of the clearance and what not.

A rim under 10" is a little small for 315's. They will fit no problem on a sold axle car even lowered 2". I have the sumo's on my car and they are a true 315. I'm running a 10.5 rim and im dropped about 1.5 inches.

Yes I am running sumo's on my car they are pretty grippy. I have 275/40/17's on a 9.5" rims and I would not suggest going wider on a 9.5" rim they will def look bulgy in the sidewall

i wouldn't really call them grippy, but they are ok as far as stickiness imo. I'm on 275/35/18's and i can turn them over fairly easily while launching in my nearly stock v6...
