I'm looking to buy a lot of stuff for my car. Mainly to beef up my auto tranny. I'm looking for opinions on what to buy/where to buy it from.
#1 Shift Kit - I think I remember reading Transgo has some problems with 99+ cars and Superior was the one to get? Anybody?
#2 Springs - I have 18x9 rims with 275/35/ZR18 tires. What are some good springs to get? I don't want to rub anymore than I do now.
#3 Alum. D/S - Just really need to know a good place to find one of these. I saw one but it was like $179. I thought you can get them cheaper than that.
#4 Rear Sway Bar - Checked every (four) junk yard here. They all wanted like $80 and plus the bars were really dinky off old fox bodies. Anyone know where I can get one for $50-65 or so online? I already tried bidding on two on ebay and lost.
#5 Torque Converter - I guess PI would be the way to go here? 3200 stall? Do I have to order it direct from them?
If you could answer answer any/all of these with a place to get them/recommended product I'd be much appreciated. And you could tell your grandchildren you helped design the coolest laser red '02 mustang...

Eibach and Steeda are very popular. Steeda will probably give you the best drop for your setup
Greenflash has a PI 3000. Talk to him about that.

3200 stall is too high.
dont go higher than 3000. get a 2800 if you dont plan on making big power.

Does EE accept credit cards over the phone or is it strictly PayPal? PayPal put my account on lock since I didn't verify my new checking account. :x

Yup. I added a credit card and then added a checking account and didn't verify it. I got one purchase in before they locked it down. I need to fax my ID and bank statement and some stupid form for them to unlock it. I don't have time for all that.
I'll be giving you a call sometime this week.

Shift kit, i would say go with superior.
Springs: It depends what kind of drop you're looking for. You could put your car down a full 2" probably, however you might rub a little. Do a 1.5" drop to be safe. Id go with the Ford C springs, or steeda sport springs. Both of those sets can be found for under 160 bucks. As far as aluminum driveshaft... check ebay. Someone said they got theirs on there for like 80 bucks. For a rear sway bar, check out www.midwestmustang.net He parts out mustangs and has a ton of stuff like that. If its not on his website, email him and he'll help you out. TQ converter... i know nothing about lol

For the swaybar, also check with MPS. They tend to be stocked with pieces like that.

So I decided to bump this thread instead of creating a new one...
I'm now only missing two things:
#1 Shift Kit - I can't find Superior kits anywhere. I read on 3.8 that only tranny shops could purchase them direct.. My shop can't do it. :-? Anyone know somewhere online that carries them? I already googled with no luck. :|
and
#5 Torque Converter - I emailed HoustonPerformance (where everyone on v6power said to get them), they don't even have them listed, and they didn't email me back. There is another place I found www.rpmoutlet.com ... But the site looks kind of shady. Anybody? I just need a good site that sells them at <$750.

I looked at some places, but if I can I'd rather deal with companies. I'm trying to pay for all my parts with my check card and not have to go through paypal. The only place I've found Superior kits was from that blackmustang guy or whoever is offering them to 3.8, and I'm banned over there, and he wants paypal, too. I'm thinking I may just go with Transgo or Fairbank or Level10 or something. I don't see me getting a superior kit anytime soon.

I was banned for "instigating" this horrible, curse-filled, porn-ridden, racist, admin-bashing, etc, etc thread:

Yes. I don't understand it either.
