I need to remove it to install my CAI how do you remove it (where are all the bolts/push pins at) and can you take it off without jacking the car up?

well the issue is I dont have a lift, I dont have jack stands... I dont have ramps so basically I dont have anything but a tool box and I dont feel like spending a ton of money on jacks/jack stands if I can manuver around it somewhat easily.
I have the stock jack.... but I dont know if I trust it

jack stands will cost you all of about $15 for a good set from sears, possibly less
if you have a harbor freight out by you, it'll be even less
a decent 2 ton floor jack costs about $25 from sears also... you can't go wrong -- if you buy it you'll have it handy for whatever you need
Is there any way you can get to it by removing the headlight? that's how I installed it on the 92...

use the jack that came with the car and look for some 2x4 or 4x4 blocks and set them up under the frame to give safety support for ya. i just turned my wheel really hard and slid in on my back and was able to eventually work it in. im a big guy, so it gave me more trouble than most, im sure.

Remove the wheel for install. Forget taking the inner well apart. I will let you know in a couple days how it works and ease of install as I will be installing mine probably weds or this weekend...Mine installs the same even though it isn't the standard CAI...I am getting the high boost version which installs the same.
Anyhow...I am sure someone there has jack stands. The almight brent has to have something around...make it a weekend thing. BBQ at brents.
Or...come to baton rouge the weekend of the 17th when we put brents motor together (even though he doesn't know that yet)...and maybe some other mods...and celebrate my gracing the world. It can be a big mod party.

Most of us have probably done it with blocks, wood, and three different scissor jacks. Even pulled a motor on a swing set. But, brother, if you go that way, be careful! We buried a guy last summer who was gonna slide under his race car for just a minute to check something. He died when the jack collapsed. He had the equipment, just chose not to follow safety procedure. It was the last choice he ever made.
I got my 3 ton jack and steel jackstands from Sears for under $100.
The old man will now quit preaching.
Good luck,
Jim

Pics attached, the silver looks close to the engine it looks darker in the pic for some reason, any blimishes you see in the paint is just little specs of stuff that wipes off from the wrapping
also dont worry I wont crawl under my car with out it being on jack stands.

dude a cobra at stock ride height will have next to zero issues getting jacked up. you have the stock scissor jack right? use that. I on the other hand have every right to bitch about annoyances in jacking up a car, i have the roush kit with c-springs, i had to buy a special jack for lowered vehicles, and even then i must be ultra-careful as the arm will still start to hit the side skirts before the shoe comes in contact with the frame.
oh, and the easiest way i found to install a fenderwell cai is to take the fender off. 3 bolts up top, the one bolt behind the headlight, the two that connect the bumper to the fender, and two inside the door jamb, all in relatively easy to reach places if you have a few extensions (the door jamb ones mainly) then you can just pull the fender back as you see fit, let it hang by the bolts that still connect the lower portion, and you now have all the room in the world you will ever need to get the CAI up in there. just gotta make sure to line up the fender when you put it back together. this is the easiest way if you cannot raise the front end and take the wheel and splash guard / inner fenderwell out.
however, those flames look fucking sick!

It is $75 for the flame upgrade...unless you go crazy with your desired upgrade.

I wouldnt ever want you working at my shop taking the fender off is just more work then needed. When you can easily remove a tire. Most noobs dont realize that by also moving the fender your gonna have to adjust the gaps between the door and front bumper
