im gonna recomend to NOT buy that one. thats more for drag racers hence why theres 4 other buttons.
But my guess is your either gonna have to splice or extend the wires from the steering column over (ign1 ign 2 battery and accer.)

thats kinda made so u won't need a key, nothin like someone breaking into your car and just hitting a button and them taking it, but like said above, its really only for drag racing, and if u put that into say, a stock v6 like mine, its laughable and not worth it

One of my friends put that in his prelude and bypassed the key...said noone would ever steal it because of the alarm.
It was stolen within a month and recovered after being wrecked...alarm finally shut up driving down the road somewhere.
Just something to remember.

I wouldnt go that deep into it if you want a button do a button, on the 05+ mustangs right in the middle it looks good and there is a kit out there for it for the pre 99 I have no idea where you would put the button and have it look decent

You could put it below the radio where that tray is or it would be pretty neat to mout it between the sun visors above the rear view

I dont understand the "cool" factor of pushing a button to start your car
theres a reason why only certain cars are made with the push button feature and obviously they got all the security issues down.
But hey i tried finding a kit for ya but only ive found on any site was for the 05-07. Again there has to be a reason why they only sell for those years

Yeah but the kit that you want is the one that you still need your key to get the button armed for ignition. If someone could just get into your car and push the button thats not good. Most kits you need your key on the "on" position and then the button activates the starter. AutoLoc has a kit that seems to be a great kit for people. I was gonna put one on the dash on the right side under the gauge console on that flat area. I'll see if I can find the one I've seen before. You can always take a universal kit and have it wired in and it would work just as good.

wouldnt there also be an issue with the PATS system... it has to see a signal from the chip in the key.
