my wax bottle is almost empty, what brand is better for a dark color car (black), meguiars or black magic???

Zaino and/or zymol <-- zymol cleaned my 92 up great and lasted quite a while

Man let me tell you i have tons of bottles of wax in my garage from Black magic to Turtle to Meguiars and Mothers on top of quick detailers and coming from someone that does detailing Meguiars hands down. whether it be their classic/gold line to even the NXT stuff.

So I say try out the NXT even their quick detailing spray is the shit seriously

NXT is great......For the one day it lasts

Zaino is great if you DO NOT have swirls otherwise its not that great

i reccommend calling scott at specialtymotoring.com and tell him you got his name from SVTPerformance and you'll get 10% off

his stuff did great for me since i HAD LOTS of swirls

Ive never had any issues with NXT with the shine lasting a day. you use the actual wax or quick detail? by hand or buffer?

Honestly my jeep still shines from when i last detailed using nothing but the NXT products then again i have a damn good buffer

a friend of mine tried a new product of black magic, express spray wax, he said that is a good product, i dunno

Heres the thing with spray wax that some people always forget their just used for when you do a real good waxing/detailing job this way next tim eyou clean the car you spray that stuff and it brings out the shine again

i read about many brand of wax and i will buy a meguiers gold class liquid wax or black magij wet shine liquid wax

i use Gold glass on cust cars. on mine i will use gold glass sometimes, or i will dip into my Car brite (Car Brite Splash Page ) fyi "wax" wont get rid of swirls

Meguiar's Gold Class is probably the best you can buy in stores. If you are really serious about the car though, Zaino is where it's at.

^i'll agree to that with one exception.....If you have heavy swirls in that case you deffinately need something more abraisive like the optimum compound

the problem with hand application of wax is this, you cannot breakdown the wax for it to do its job. i used to think hand application was the best, until i saw the use of the PorterCable with Poorboys SSR2.5 followed up with SSR1 with the correct application and buffing process, i was speechless.

i have not used Poorboys SSR as of yet, as even with the PorterCable, you can still mess up the paint if not done properly. I use Optimum Polish and work it in with a orange cutting pad that got rid of almost 95% of my surface scratches and impurities, followed by a quick over Poly-Seal with a smooth cutting pad to seal it in, then i hit it up with a hand applied layer of Natty's Blue. then sometimes after a wash ill go over the hood/roof/decklid with megiars quick detailer and lots of microfibers.
