Hey guys, I'm Chris from Starkville...If you can't tell, I have an 05 GT...All the guys in this area already know me, but it's yellow with black racing stripes and door stripes, borla cat-back, 18" deep-dish bullits in the back, and the louvers for the back glass. I will be putting a KB 2.6L on it hopefully by August, depending on funds...

hey you should look at gettin a turbocharger for your mustang instead of the kenne bell I think you will be a lot happier and i can get you a good deal on install and parts with some of my buddies in Memphis...plus turbos are cheaper and less stress on the engine look at the Hellion site

Ever touch a Kenne Bell or other roots blower after it makes a 1/4 mile pass? Granted a Turbo generates more heat, but it also allows for lower intake temps with a large intercooler.... Plus you have heat soak issues with a Roots blower.
Capabilities:
Turbo>Screwtype blower(kenne bell and Ford GT Eaton)>Roots(eaton off the termy's)

Roots = best looking engine bay, awesome down low power, less chance of your car blowing up because of the simplicity of the system over a turbo imho.
Everyone likes their own thing...

And when I say roots I was grouping Twin screw and single screws, just differentiating between the centrifugal and roots type.

I would let this argument go, but your reasoning befuddles me. A screw type is a kenne bell. Roots is what the stock termy's have. So you saying a stock blower looks better than a Kenne Bell/Whipple? And if you have the correct turbo with the correct tune, you can have the same power down low and even more up top. The whole idea of taking power to make power isn't that good of idea to me, but like you said to each his own. I just thought you should have better reasoning that that.

Roots and Screw types are two different classes of blower....

Maybe I have been mis informed than.
I always thought a Roots type blower is one mounted directly to the lower intake of a car and makes boost in the intake not in the blower itself. Twin screw and single just simply being one more efficient way of making the same boost over the other?
