no, but they do have mostly un-painted parts, IE unpainted body kits, fenders, spoilers, etc.
IMO leaving them black looks unfinished and unpainted. You might be able to imagine a way to integrate the look but thats gonna be hard IMO, that simple fade to the black scoop was just eh.
I always like to think "WWFD?" (What Would Foose Do?) when thinking about stuff like this.

And I have toyed with the idea of smoothing the side scoops, but that will require alot more work than I'm willing to do right now, including repainting both sides of the car to blend it correctly and about a week of metal work because I refuse to use bondo.

yeah but youd get a fully built motor "courtesy" of VT or something, a fully built T56 and rear end, and a Whipple to top it off.

I agree....but he does make a point...it would end up with 20s...it is as if they don't make any other size when it comes to car customization...

20's are now the norm when it comes to customization like the kind that foose does and the kind that wins car shows. 18's? wouldnt even get noticed.
on a 05+ Stang 20's fill out the fenderwells very nice with little to no suspension modification needed. if i was making a "Showy" 05+ i would get 20's as well, 18's would look a little too small in there.

wtf? Why would you put the gradient going that way? The gradient should be going in the opposite direction so it can imply speed while standing still. That's why the gradients are popular - they make the car look like its going faster - you have successfully made the gradient ugly. Not only that but that little hood scoop makes your car look like it has some form of growth on the top it. Your car is too basic to allow this sort of work on it. Try something that suits the car more, you only have a bland mustang and you're making it ugly.

I totally and completely disagree with you. Also, its fine to state your opinion, but you might want to try and do it in a nicer way, especially when you are relatively new around here.
