Hey wut up guys? I'm thinking about puttin some M&H racemaster
drag radials 325/45R17 on my 17x10.5 deep dish bullitt wheels for out back come spring when she comes out of the garage. I know that I am goin to put 275/40R17 up front on the 17x9 bullitts. Wut I was wondering is if they would fit with no problems. It is a 28x10.5 tire, and they said on the site they would fit the rims. Let me know wut u guys think.

thats a pretty tall tire....
Your car isnt lowered at all is it? That size tire is going to screw up your speedo.

No the car isn't lowered. I have a dyno tune waiting for me, after I get the heads and cams installed and figuered a dyno tune should fix my speedo problem, shouldn't it?

Yeah you can get it fixed with a tune, is there a reason you want such a tall tire? Looking for sidewall flex or what?

Well one reason y I want a large tire out back, is because really I think the 315/35 is kinda short. It's something like 25.6 inches tall, and I'm wanting something kinda bigger. I got all the suspension parts for traction, and I know the 315/35 are good, but I want to know that when I go to the tracks come spring that I wouldn't have to worry about any kind of traction probs. The one thing I that do worry about with the tires is snapping something in the drivetrain. I have a built and reinforced rearend, and a aluminum driveshaft, with the saftey loop, but something still could snap. I might just go ahead and buy a set of 315s and a set 325s. I'll use the 315 for street. and 325 for the track.

I havnt heard of the tires that you're talking about, but if your 8.8 is beefed up I wouldnt worry too much about snapping things... you might burn a clutch or two, but that rear end is probably pretty dang strong. How much power are you making to need all this traction? I guess go ahead and do it, I just assumed it would be used on the street as well and I wouldnt recommend that tire for the street, but it sounds like you've done your research and know what you want.

Well see that's why I came here to ask for yaws opinion on the tires. I see wut cha mean when u say you wouldn't rec. them for the street. I've been doing a lot of searching on the forum and other sites and looking at the 315, and I believe they are the look that I want on the car. Like I said earlier, I might just go ahead and by both sets that way I won't have to worry about wearing the 315s out so fast. If I use them for both street and strip, I would have to buy tires more often, if I buy both stes, I could use the 325/45 for the strip and leave the 315 for street use only.

I honestly think you'd be plenty happy with a 315 at the track... Thats like 12 inches of tread, I dunno how much more you need lol

I have a 2000 V6 F150 with 2003 style 18x9.5 Lightning wheels, and I have 305/45 out back with 295/45 up front. It has a 3/4 drop and the tires really give it a good staggered look.
