Well the time has finally gotten here, I finally convinced my father to put some money into his car. I think after mom gettin her shelby, he really really wants to take his out and enjoy it. The problem is the car has sat for so many years not used, and plus being 40 years old, things have dried up and cracked, and just plain worn out. here are a few pics of progress so far.
The first two pics you can clearly see the engine is out. It was a 351 Cleveland 4V from a 70 mach 1 he bought back in 70, it was a roll over and he took the engine out and put it in his 66... this will not be going back in as an alulminum headed 408 will be making its way into there.
This next image shows the horrible coated tubular automotive headers that were in the car, these will prolly make there way onto the escort for some crazy exhaust mod, i havent decided yet.

Here is radiator and clutch out, Plans are for better clutch setup, and a Be cool radiator with dual electric cooling fans.... say goodbye to engine driven fan and hello to new H.P!
Just a few pics of the top end of the engine... heads, valve train , and intake... havent decided what is goin on with these, i really would like to see the 95 with those carbs stickin outta the hood, only time will tell
And finally just a quick shot of the short block.

The plans for this car as followed:
408 windsor setup, Aluminum heads, Weber Carb setup. Upgraded disc brakes in the front, Disc brake conversion in the rear, All new suspension (Springs, shocks, bushings, control arms, balljoints), New steering arms and tie rods and such. Nice 3" side exhaust, and a new panel outback to delete the reverse lights, and exhaust cutouts, and then finally redo the trunk floor(paint is lifting, no rust, just needs top be repainted on the floor. After that, its time to enjoy the car again. It's gonna be an interesting winter, and I'm looking forward to gettin this car back on the road, so for the first time since 1972 My father can enjoy this car again.
