i have heard on some other sites, that if you do a full exhaust setup (headers, mid-pipe n catback) and do add a cai, you will need to get it dynoed. this is what i am plannin on doin in the next couple o months, so i kinda need to know. i didnt think you would need to, but some ppl were sayin it is neccisary. thanks guys.

CAI, no....headers maybe I guess...but not 100% sure. It does let in more air when you are N/A...so it kinda makes sense. But a CAI...no.

with just a catback and a cai you will be fine, a dyno is always the best way to optimize your performance but... it is costly to perform one after every modification so just do it when it is needed or you are done with your upgrades

You won't need a dyno tune. It's always good thing to have, but it won't be necessary.

a dyno might make you depressed anyway when you see what exhaust/cai give you

But he is talking headers as well...which will soften the disappointment a little bit...not a lot...but a little.

yea, im talkin bout putting on my bbk lts, a bbk midpipe and a cat back (possibly a lm2) and a cai all at once. so my question is should i have a dyno tune done so that im not going too lean or going to hurt the engine.

For what its worth you should have your car dynotuned as it stands, it is orange after all, and since that adds 11ty billion times the HP, ... You should get it tuned so you don't risk your pistons
Actually on the 04s, the stock mass air and PCM handles airflow changes much better than the 05+s do,if you mess with the mass air / mass air housing, I would then definitely say get it tuned..

Offroad pipes will fail everywhere unless you get a lick and stick (which is illegal anyway). If you run highflow cats no one should give you any problems with passing, just make sure you get mil eliminators for the rear O2 sensors other wise you'll fail the OBDII test because your check engine light is on.
