Have you priced a complete 03-04 cobra motor from Ford racing or better yet ebay. Be expecting 11k+ used. You can get a brand new LS2 from Summitt for about 6500.

lol wtf, there was a guy selling a 5.4 4v from a gt500 on svtperf. for 5k from oil pan to blower.
besides, why would you need a complete 03/04 motor anyways? id just build up my current 4.6 with a teksid block and a good set of 2v heads and get the same results for half the price, and i wouldnt have to worry about long runs cause the piston to wall clearence is so tight on a stock 03/04 termie motor.

The impression I got from the question is which produces the cheapiest HP per mod, but let me rephrase my answer then. If you want to build just a Motor, and not one that already comes in a car then a 350 hands down. If you want to buy a late model car for $25,000+ then a Supercharged Ford V-8.
BTW you can buy a complete 03/04 Cobra engine used for alot less than $11,000.

/\ Seriously, where, I haven't been able to find a motor/supercharger combo for less than that.

I'm just dreaming, we're in the process of getting another vehicle. After we get the torque boxes/subframes done on the notch--the guy guarantees them for the life of the vehicle and 8.50's in the 1/4 and slower-- it's going to be simple mods for a little while.

OOOH YEAH, just read about that. There was so much computer, harnesses, etc, that they had to extend the 132 or so wires and mount all that junk where the back seat went. Badass setup, but I don't want to imagine the coin and effort it took to do that.

No doubt, growing up with a father that is obsessed with audio equipment and a very experienced sound guy, you learn your way around wires. The only thing I have yet to learn is soldering, but it will happen soon.

Looks like the 5.0 is the greatest motor ever made, ever.
But c'mon guys... did we really need a poll to figure that one out?

Soldering is really simple. My way is to preheat the wire lightly tape the solder on the wire if it starts to melt just glide and push in and there ya go.
Its all in the preheating of the wire
