The video shouldn't be titled, "why you should have voted republican", it should be, "why you shouldn't have voted democrat." There are plenty of good reasons to not vote republican, too.

However, the key reasons to not vote democrat way outweigh reasons to not vote republican

Whats the point of voting independent? An independent party is not going to win, so you basically waste your vote. Might as well have not voted.

And the replublicans are the only party that stands a chance in AL, so why should I bother voting at all? If I don't vote for the winner, is it a wasted vote?

I would actually go so far as to say that voting blue in a state that is undoubtedly going to be red is yes, a wasted vote. 
Goes the other way too... Its basically pointless for a person voting red to go vote in California... its a waste of time. Its unfortunate, but true.
