Ok, here are some pics from the build up. It will be done tonight. Lots of non car related issues and some parts issues caused a massive delay...but at least it will be done tonight. All that is left is the CAI, IC and radiator fluids, and the tune. All will be done by the end of work and we will be tuning the car once I get to the shop. I will post the dyno tonight...and it best be over 500, closer to 520 after all this BS. lol
Anyhow...some pics from the build up...if the pics don't show up...they can be found here...and if they do appear, the full size pics can be found here as well...
Stieg SC Install
New SC arrives
New Ported SC Painted Black
Stock SC removed and engine tore down
Even flow cooling mod installed
Intercooler mounted to the new SC
Waiting for parts...
SC mounted to the engine
Some of the parts that came off...most are staying off...

Looks good.
Do they still call the area under the intake a lifter valley, if there aren't any lifters there?

Funny you say that, I used to call valve covers, cam covers to throw off the pushrod guys. Yes, I have actually been asked if the Bullitt had a 302 in it.

It turns out very good...and it is about $250-300 I believe...on top of the porting work. Check out stiegs site and you will be able to see some polished versions. They look almost chrome...I am not into all that blingy stuff under the hood...so it isn't my cup-o-tea.

And excuse number eleventy billion hit tonight...the car is not done.
Day started, all that was left was install plenum and TB, CAI, fluids, and tune. 11 am, had to go to the shop to handle a belt issue....left the shop at 1....all that was left was Install plenum, CAI install, fill car with fluids, and tune. Got to the shop at 5:30...all that was left was....CAI install, fill car with fluids, and tune. Left the shop at 7:30, all that is left is fluids, and tune.
The JLT CAI fit like ass, damn near broke that motherfucker....changed to a different JLT kit...problem solved.
Just to vent a little...but...why is it that you take a car in...strip it down to the short block in 1 day...prep everything for install for the next day...and yet 8 days later it is still not done?
I just know there is going to be some bullshit reason as to why it can't be finished tomorrow. My only hope is I don't go postal when that foot drops. I am not in the mood for more delays.
Anyhow...here are a couple more pics from when I left...they are dark, but all I had was my phone...my camera showed up, but it was brought without a card. ugh.
Just waiting for fluids...
Still Just waiting for fluids...

don't fret the time, it's more important that its DONE RIGHT
it should have taken me a week tops to finish my 92, I spent an entire month doing every little thing step by step, changing this, doing that... and in the end it was worth it
so many people have to go back and fix little things... the only thing I've had to do since was change out the transmission

I have a problem accepting it taking at least 9 days to do something in an actual auto shop with all the right tools, etc...that it takes a couple of buddies 2 days and a 12 pack to do in their driveway...and se | | |
