I know the 2JZGTE in the newer supras could handle just about anything that is thrown at it. Haven't done too much research on the older supras like this one. But either way, its not what I'd want done to my car. I like to have it streetable.
And do you have any shots of the engine bay? Not calling you a liar, just wondering what she looks like if the engine is in there now

Dont worry this is his drag car his street car is a builded to hell and back Chevelle that pretty much owns all of us in the area
Motor wise im not a 100% sure I knew he wanted to get the inline all rebuilded since he was able to hit mid 10s off of it, bought the car with only 36K on it. I know he was throwing around a bunch of ideas not sure what he went with but Ill get a hold of him and ask.
No engine shots cause will there is no motor in the car, dont worry ill keep people updated

yeah that 10.5 was before becoming a tubbed and chubbed track car.
it has at least low 10's in it now!
if hes at the point the stock 2JZ wont be able to handle what he throws at it, its going to be ungodly after its finished. now if only it had the displacement of a V8

The 2JZ-GTE's came in the Mark IV supra's. The 86 to 92 Supra's (Mark III) has the 7M-GTE, which is a lot weaker than the 2J. I can't see the pics at work.

yeah i thought since someone (think it was rocket442) brought up the 2JZ above meant thats what he was running. im curious now as to whats actually in the car.

I just noticed your sarcastic comment on the discplacement. I have not said and won't say that 4/6 cylinders cannot make the same hp as a V8 with less work done to it. Never said it wasn't possible. People are allowed to have a preference. My rant was about 4/6 cylinder elitists who think they are better because they can make the same power as V8 guys, but aren't given like circumstances on power adders. Sure a honduh can make 400 hp with a turbo, but a V8 can do it on motor. My point is, the way to go to make big hp is bigger displacement unless you are running a certain class that limits what you can run. 813>572>502>460>429>377>351>350>302>289>281>260>232>2.4>2.2>2.0>1.8>1.6>1.3 given like flowing heads and/or same power adder. That's all I was trying to say. Not which is better.
doesnt matter that body style supra is ugly... the next gen is much nicer looking.
