gt cowl piece??

ya know that cowl piece thats after the hood on the 94-98 gt's used to "vent"(or whatever you want to call it) the air out of the engine bay. do the 99-04 gt's have that to? if not, would the 94-98 cowl piece fit on a 99-04? the reason im asking is b/c my brother told me it would and we got into an argument about it.

they don't really vent the engine bay.. more like house the wiper system and intake for your HVAC, a 99-04 vent won't fit a 94-98

um I dont think so im pretty sure the 99+ are wider making it a longer piece

but im not a 100% sure only way to know if someone who owns a 96-98 and a 99-04 were to go and measure the length and width of the piece

They are not interchangable. Even if they were, it wouldn't look right because they are different molds meant to fit with different hoods.

but are the 99-04 gt's the same as 99-04 v6? b/c the little slits in mine dont go all the way through. they're fake. are the gt's real? ive never really looked.

they're the same piece.. again the vent there is mostly meant to house the wiper system/ your HVAC inlet

They're good for collecting water and leaves...that's about it. Also annoying as hell to clean in between.
