I was wondering if its just the northeast or what but gas is almost back to 3 bucks in my area and its not even freakin summer wtf
2.76 is the cost of gas down the street from me   and they just keep on climbing
wtf is the reasoning this time to raise prices

There are 2 current reasons:
1.) Daylight savings time expected to strain production...as posted in the WTF thread.
2.) "Concerns over falling gasoline inventories from decreased refinery production and fewer imports have boosted oil and gasoline prices lately. On Wednesday, the government reported that total U.S. motor gasoline inventories fell by 3.8 million barrels to 216.4 million barrels, a sharper decline than the 1.4 million barrel drop that analysts had expected."

More accurate answer is probably the desire to get a head start on the profits so they can beat the numbers last year...if they don't beat the numbers, they look like they fail at business...
EDIT: Oh, and yeah, it has gone up about .20 here in the last few weeks. It is now 2.39 for 87... |

They are hustling us.
It was 1.75.. went up to about 2.75.. so when it went back down to 2.00 we thought it was a OMG WTF great deal.. than they raise it to about 3.00 and now it'll drop to 2.25 and we will be OMG WTF happy.. than they raise it to 3.25 and than drop it to 2.50 and we will be like OMG GAS IS GREAT... and as we keep getting happy we forget how much bigger the holes of our asses are getting.
