This is for anyone who is about to purchase and Install your Mach1 Grill Delete Kit. Bye Bye Honeycome & coral.
2002 (not the only year affected) Mustangs do not have 1/4 inch screws holding it in place . They have a 7mm bolts that you have to unscrew from the lip when bending back. 4 of them will be a b i o t c h to take off and give you quite the headrush from hanging your head upside down, trying to figure out why your 1/4 inch wrench wont work. U cannot get a feel for the shape of the bolt - given the angle and no visibility. Couldnt go under the bumper because of the crash foam they have blocking access.
How "I" did it:Pulled the grill back (dont worry, it wont break off, its really strong yet elastic and goes right back into place, even if you pull it good), put a socket wrench w/7mm on the screw under the part u pull back. Then applied pressure pushing down, got my pliers to unscrew the ribon like clamp holding it in place on top. B4 & after that, was easier then anything I've ever done to my car. After talking w/another guy, he said the 7mm thing really pissed him off as well. American...not always SAE, Now I carry MM tools as well.
New Pics Finally able to upload. True Dual finally to go with my Mach1 stripe, Mach1 chin spoiler & Mach1 Grill Delete Kit and Custom Fog lights. Blk out headlights this weekend...Idle hands are the devils playground! The Drop w/Rims are next but I have to save for something else first.

my 01 had them as well and they sucked to get off. Its probably about as easy to just take the front bumper off sadly.

Haha, I hated the honeycomb, not a piece of it left on my car for that reason.
Luckily, the roush S3 bumper didn't have a grill in it.

Nice detail to your setup!
I like the Roush Set up after, new I saw it somewhere.
It wasnt so much that I "hated" the honeycome or the coral as much as it was the fact that it opens up the area, giving it that deep look w/a suspended mustang (and it takes me back to my old '97 stock). Oh yeah,w/honeycomb, I didnt like that plastic fading look and I didnt like spraying anything onto it to keep it up. Water just sat on each hole after washing (PITA) if anyone takes the time to dry them. Need a leaf blower! Now I just wipe armorall on the blk lip - looks satin black & suspended Chrome Mustang look great!

That's an old picture. The pony is all scratched and beat up now lol. I guess 10,000 miles of highway driving would do that to you too.
